Available formulation in Zambia: Tablet (chewable): 500 mg.
- Indicated for the treatment of adult tapeworms when praziquantel or albendazole treatment fails.
- Disintegration of worms in GI tract with treatment may lead to autoinfection due to release of ova.

Taenia saginata, Taenia solium, Diphyllobothrium latum, Diphylidium caninum: Single dose of 2 gm (4 tabs) after light meal. If segments of cestodes or ova present after 7 days, a second, identical course may be repeated.

Hymenolepis nana: 2 gm (4 tabs) as single dose daily for 7 days to ensure infestation eradicated.
